Essentrics

Essentrics® is a low-impact, full-body exercise program designed to help older adults stay strong, flexible, and mentally sharp. Created by former ballerina Miranda Esmonde-White, the method blends slow, flowing movements from ballet, tai chi, and physiotherapy to lengthen and strengthen muscles at the same time—without the pounding or strain of traditional workouts.

The program’s emphasis on gentle stretching and “eccentric” muscle work protects joints while improving balance, posture, and range of motion—key elements for maintaining independence and preventing falls. Each session engages every major muscle group through continuous motion, easing stiffness and supporting healthy circulation.
