Tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique): How to Release Stress and More

Tapping (Emotional Freedom Technique): How to Release Stress and More

Feeling down, anxious, worried or stressed? Diane Jacobowitz returns to Coming of Age to discuss the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or tapping. EFT is a quick and easy way to release the stress inside us and a whole lot more as you’ll find out in this session. Its purpose is not only to reduce anxiety or help resolve fears, but it also is used to reduce physical pain, improve performance, or lessen cravings.

EFT is a modern approach to ancient methods of treatment. It’s fast, it’s easy, it’s inexpensive, and it’s accessible to everyone. Tapping on specific meridian points on the body calms the nervous system by lowering the cortisol (the stress hormone) levels in our brain and boosting our immune system. Diane will explain how tapping works and its roots in history. She will demonstrate tapping protocol and will guide audience members through a tapping meditation.

Diane Jacobowitz (BFA, Ohio State University; MFA, Connecticut College) is a former Long Island University dance professor, choreographer and director of her own dance company. She previously founded Dancewave, a nonprofit that brought dance to thousands of NYC public school youth and mentored serious students with renowned dance artists. She has more than 35 years’ experience teaching movement and dance to people of all ages. To learn more about Diane and her programs, visit fitnessempowerment.online.
