Living Life to the Fullest – With the Author of Honest Aging
Join us to meet with Dr. Rosanne Leipzig, MD, Ph.D., who has thought about aging for over 35 years. Her new book, Honest Aging: An Insider’s Guide to the Second Half of Life (Hopkins Press/January 2023), argues that “How you react to age-related change determines how you will live.” As the Gerald and May Ellen Ritter Professor and Vice Chair Emeritus for the Brookdale Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, she has witnessed vast improvements and changes to not only medical innovations but also social reframing on aging itself.
Honest Aging dispels myths about what to expect, what to give up on, and what to accept. At this webinar interview with Dr. Leipzig, we will offer a frank and detail-rich discussion about the changes to our bodies and minds and seek guidance on how those experiencing aging and those who love them can talk together more cogently and kindly about the changes and adjustments that will make life easier–and still retain the qualities that make life worthwhile. For the patients she has spent her life in conversation with, the goal of Dr. Leipzig’s care has been to help people find ways to be creative, resilient and engaged, no matter what decade they are in.
