In this presentation, Dr. Lisa Diamond will discuss her work on sexual fluidity, which describes the human capacity for change and variability in sexual desires at different stages of life and in different circumstances.  She will discuss what is currently known about the reasons for sexual fluidity, how it differs from bisexuality, and how it fits within our current understandings of sexual orientation. Dr. Diamond is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Gender Studies at the University of Utah.  She studies the development and expression of gender and sexuality over the lifespan, and the psychobiological mechanisms through which stigma and adversity shape mental and physical health across the spectrum of gender and sexual diversity.
