PSS Parkside Center’s history began in the early 1960’s, with PSS assuming sponsorship two decades ago. We serve a diverse population of older adults who are 60 and over by offering a wide variety of programs and activities that address the needs of both mind and body and encourage our members to engage, connect and live healthy lives. PSS Parkside Center maintains a safe, welcoming environment that responds to the ever-changing cultural dynamics of our community at large.

My late husband, Joe and I have been members of PSS Parkside Center for many years. It is a wonderful 2nd home. We enjoy the safe, friendly atmosphere and the myriad of activities. The activities keep improving in quantity and quality. It is now time for me to give back which I plan to as the Vice President of PSS Parkside Advisory Board.
I have been a member of PSS Parkside Center since 2011. The Center has served me as a second home close to home. I’m known as the decorator and receptionist of PSS Parkside Center, and help guide our members as another source of information about what’s happening within the community and the Center. Like the staff, I’m part of everything! Through PSS Parkside Center, I have been involved in my community for which I have been recognized by both our Council Member and Assembly Member’s offices.
PSS Parkside Center is located at 644 Adee Avenue between Bronx Park East and White Plains Road.Take the #2 train to Allerton Avenue station; walk north on White Plains Road past Britton and Arnow Avenues to Adee Avenue; turn left on Adee Avenue; walk two blocks to Barker Avenue. The closest bus is the BX39 in the direction of Wakefield-241st Street to Adee Avenue.
We are in the ground floor surrounded by NYCHA Parkside Housing. The building is handicapped accessible. Upon entering the Center, you need to stop at the front desk, and sign the daily attendance sheet.
PSS Centers encompasses all the centers that PSS manages for our older adult community. Our centers help older adults stay healthy, engaged and connected.
