Located within a Oberia D. Dempsey Multi-Service facility, since July, 2021 PSS Harlem Center has offered a wide variety of activities designed to help older adults in the community age well. We do so by providing health management screenings and discussions, classes on computer and social media use, arts and cultural activities, exercise classes, informative programs, day trips, volunteer opportunities, and case and benefits assistance. PSS Harlem Center is funded by the NYC Dept. for the Aging and Sponsored by Presbyterian Seniors Services.

Becoming older begins a whole new chapter in one’s life. PSS Harlem Pelham Fritz Center is a meeting place for people to join in this new journey, enjoying crafts, trips, and conversation. I especially appreciate meeting my newfound friends, who have become a steadfast extended family.
I come to PSS Harlem Pelham Fritz Center not just for the many activities they provide but to socialize with other members. As you age you can become complacent in doing nothing and become isolated. The Center makes you feel like you belong to a family, and family is very essential during your golden years.
