MEET THE AUTHOR: Refusing To Be Invisible for Women 50+

Women over 50 often complain about feeling invisible, less empowered, or diminished. As we get older, we should feel stronger, more confident, and empowered. Join host Martha Blackwelder for a chat with author Paula Marie Usrey about her recent book that addresses these hurdles, Refusing to Be Invisible: Life Planning Empowerment Strategies for Women 50+. Ms. Blackwelder and Ms. Usrey will explore how women have the power

  • to change how others see us by the stories we tell
  • to use our individual and collective voices as a way to enact positive changes in our culture
  • to recognize and address ageist behaviors
  • to change our mindsets and manage our health
  • to deal with major life transitions, including retirement and widowhood.

And how women have the power to define themselves and their purpose in life. An informative session not only for women, but for their spouses, families, co-workers, and professionals in their support network.
