During Fiscal Year 2023 we provided…
PSS Circle of Care has been a life saver. The care consultant’s professionalism and responsiveness is unmatched. I called and she leaped into action. Out of all of the people I called, Circle of Care was the one which was really there to provide relief for my family, and I no longer have to worry. I tell everyone about the services and how great the organization is. It’s really been a blessing.
Joining PSS King Towers Center has given meaning to my days. I feel happier and healthier. I have become a part of a family that helps improve the lives of older adults. It is never a dull day when I am with family, and that’s what PSS does for us — creates a family outside the home.
I have been volunteering at the PSS Andrew Jackson Senior Center since 2000. I volunteer in the garden, decorating for events and sharing safety tips. My purpose is to help ensure Senior Citizen health & safety.
When you attend a stress reduction workshop with some apprehension caused by anxiety and leave feeling refreshed and with a smile on your face, we call that a successful workshop. We found new coping mechanisms for stress that pointed us in a positive direction for our lives. The stress reduction workshop is yet another example of how Coming of Age NYC and PSS Circle of Care provide a variety of useful information free of charge to anyone that could benefit, and their mission to do this is commendable. Thank you.
Margherita G., kinship caregiver for her grandson Orlando, met with Youth & Young Adult Services staff to discuss his grades and see if there was any way to better his marks. After two months of tutoring Orlando began to make improvements in school. Ms. G. says, “It was stressful knowing that Orlando’s promotion was in doubt. With the tutoring he was given, I can happily say that he is doing better in school now. The teachers have noticed him making progress in areas he struggled with before, and he passed both state tests. He has been excited to go to the tutoring program and get his homework done. I feel comfortable sending him to your program knowing the emphasis you put on education.” Ms. G. says Orlando’s teacher notified her of his improvements at school. “I feel like Orlando is changing positively including his other activities at home. I hope he keeps it up. Thank you for so much.”
