PSS Senior Director of Circle of Care

Make a difference in the lives of New York City’s older adults, their families and the community. For over 50 years PSS has performed vital and important work – through its nine senior centers, two apartment buildings, caregiver services and affiliated programs, the agency touches the lives of over 1,000 people a day. As the Senior Director of PSS Circle of Care, you will be responsible for assuring that family caregivers receive the information and referral, counseling, home assessments, educational training, respite and supplemental services they need. The Senior Director’s role is vital in ensuring that effective supportive service networks are established and services and programming are effectively delivered in communities throughout all five boroughs. This is a full-time exempt position that reports directly to the Deputy Director.

 

PSS Circle of Care Care Consultant for Alzheimer’s Disease Caregivers

In 2016, PSS began providing its special brand of caregiver services and support to those caring for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias throughout NYC. PSS is looking to fill multiple positions spanning all five boroughs. As a Care Consultant for PSS Circle of Care Caregiver program, you will be responsible for providing individual counseling, home assessments, educational training, respite services, supplemental assistance, information & referral and perform outreach initiatives to existing and prospective caregivers. The Caseworker’s role is vital in ensuring that caregivers and their families receive the information, support and resources they need to cope with the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease.

 

Senior Center Custodian

Make a difference in the lives of New York City’s older adults, their families and the community. For over 50 years PSS has performed vital and important work — through its nine centers, two senior apartment buildings, caregiver support services, and affiliated programs, the agency touches the lives of over 1,000 people a day. As the Custodian of one of senior centers, you will be responsible for the general cleanliness of the facility, specifically the cleanliness of the floors and the general maintenance of the center’s offices, dining room, bathrooms, kitchen, storage and public areas.  The Custodian’s role is vital in ensuring that the center is a physically welcoming and a safe place for all members and visitors. This is a full-time non-exempt position that reports directly to the Senior Center Director.
